Extended working range and battery life
The Rugby 610 rotating laser delivers great performance with the Rod Eye Basic receiver. If needed, the operating range can be extended to 600 m with the Rod Eye 140 and the Rod Eye 160 digital receivers. The Rugby 610 comes in package with the long-lasting and quickly charging Li-Ion battery for even longer operating times.

HISTORY

Five of these individuals photographed in 1910 (pictured above) went on to build Kuker-Ranken, opening in 1924 and officially incorporated in 1928, providing Architectural, Engineering, Construction, Survey Equipment and Supplies to the precision industry ever since.

Kuker-Ranken was founded in 1928 by W.J. Ranken, Otto J. Kuker, Jack T. Ranken and Harry G. Kimball as a manufacturer of the Kuker-Ranken hand levels for contractors and surveyors. Initially located in Renton, Washington, Kuker-Ranken, Inc. has been in a number of locations over the years. From Renton we moved to 4th & Columbia downtown Seattle, WA it was current location of McCormack’s Fish House, where we expanded into architectural and engineering supplies including blueprinting tools, eventually moving to 818 John St in Seattle.

In 1978 we became the area dealer for a Swiss company called Wild Heerbrugg a manufacture of the highest quality survey instruments to our product line, currently known as Leica Geosystems, and in 2021, we focused more deeply on robotic systems as we opened our UAV drone division.

We moved to our current Mountlake Terrace location in 1980 and added our Fife store in January 2002 and our Beaverton, Oregon store in January 2003. In 2016 we added Salt Lake City and Las Vegas to the list of KR locations.

Kuker-Ranken was purchased from the founder’s family in 1977 by Gary and Sandi Rousseau. Gary and Sandi successfully ran the business for 28 years and is now owned by Robert H. Lycke Jr, a longtime employee of KR who worked his way from being a shipping room clerk to owning the company. 

KR’s employees across the West make up the KR (KukerRanken) family, and everyone is deeply focused on providing a white glove, gold-standard customer experience with every product. Our team consists of industry subject matter experts in a variety of topics, all ready to assist whether it’s a software, hardware, workflow, or operational question.

Shipping & Billing Policy:

For consumer protection, all orders are subject to review, including shipping/billing verification and credit card authorization and verification. On occasion, this may cause a slight delay in processing your order. During peak holiday periods, orders may take longer to process and ship. Once an order has been processed, actual delivery time depends on the chosen shipping method.

It is also our policy in conjunction with our credit card services, both for your and our protection, to require all orders over $500 be shipped to the credit card billing address that is being used.

Non-Defective Product Returns:

Non-defective products can be returned within 14 days, for credit less shipping. All returns within 14 days will be subject to a 15% restocking fee, and/or less $5 handling fee to cover testing, stocking and packaging expenses. In addition to this fee, a charge (up to 100%) will be assessed for items that are returned missing or containing broken parts.

Please note any item delivered via trucking cannot be refused or returned for credit once in transit. If a trucking delivery is refused, canceled, and/or unable to deliver, charges will be incurred. These charges may include, delivery and return transit costs and storage fees.

Defective Product Returns:

KR offers a 30 day (from date of shipment) replacement for defective products. Prior to contacting us for a return authorization, please contact the manufacturer to confirm the item is defective. Please keep us informed on your progress! – We want you to be Satisfied! Some repair and replacement requests for special order and select products must go through the manufacturer. Call us to confirm 1-800-454-1310.

Customers who do not want an item repaired or replaced can request a return authorization, within our 30 day defective return grace period. Please be aware the applicable restocking fee will be assessed if an exchange is not desired.

Please allow 7-10 business days on exchanges, after receipt of merchandise, for shipment of replacement merchandise.

Return Notes:

  • KR Return Authorization: All returns must be pre-approved by KR. Please call or e-mail us your request. Once your request has been received, you will be contacted within 5 business days. Please Do Not ship any products until you receive an e-mail with instructions! (You will be shipping to an alternate address). Any returns without a Return Authorization number and shipped without notification to our address will not receive credit. You must re-package any item(s) being returned as it was delivered to you, with all parts, materials and manuals. If you received your item double boxed, it must be returned in this way. Shipping costs are refunded only if the return is a result of our error. To comply with the return policy, a tracking number must be emailed upon return. KR is not responsible for lost or missing returns. Mastercard/Visa/AMEX all take two billing cycles to show a refund.

    Incorrect shipments and/or shipping damage must be reported within 48 hours of receipt by email/writing to kr@krinc.net.

    ***Please note: Credits will be posted within 5-6 weeks of actual Receipt of returned merchandise. • Refused Shipments:Please note that any shipment refused, canceled, and/or unable to deliver, unless given prior authorization, will not be refunded original shipping and assessed the applicable restock fee. • Cancellation Policy:A minimum $35 cancellation fee and/or 20% of the order may apply to orders canceled, canceled without notice to KR, attempt to stop or cancel a payment, and/or for nonpayment. Each additional cancellation attempt, and/or for each nonpayment occurrence may result in an additional $20 recovery fee. Orders that are canceled after placement are subject to a $25 order cancellation fee. Please note that shipping is not pro-rated in the refund as the shipping cost is the same whether shipping one or two items due to weight. • Collections and Unpaid Invoices: KR reserves the right to collect any unpaid balances and accounts may be assigned to a Collection Service for recovery of monies owed including a 100% recovery fee prior to submitting to collections.
