Our 2nd Place Winner is Bryan Worthen, a skilled Senior Surveyor at Horrocks, who works out of the beautiful Utah area. Bryan recently found himself engaged in an exciting project in Moab, a location known for its stunning red rock landscapes and outdoor adventures.

This particular project involved cutting-edge technology, including Mobile LiDAR captured from the Leica Pegasus TRK, alongside Aerial LiDAR and Photogrammetry techniques to ensure accurate and detailed measurements. While executing this complex work, Bryan took a moment to snap a few impressive pictures on his phone as he was bringing the drone in for a landing. It was a wise decision, as the resulting images capture a slice of both the stunning scenery and the innovative surveying work being done.  Bryan is taking home a Leica X6 Laser Distance Meter, a Seco Safety Vest with LED for night time safety and additional KR prizes.

Meanwhile, our 3rd Place Winner is Jonathan Ruelas, who is dedicated to his role at Lease Crutcher Lewis in the Seattle area. Jonathan and his team were up bright and early, preparing to pour concrete for the final level of their ongoing project. As they worked amidst the bustling atmosphere of the construction site, Jonathan couldn’t help but take a moment to appreciate the backdrop behind their Leica Total Station.  He looked up and thought to himself, “What a cool background that is with the Space Needle behind it” Indeed, the striking combination of modern engineering and the city’s renowned landmark made for a perfect scene, inspiring him to capture that unique moment.  Jonathan has won a Sitepro Heavy Duty Robotic Tripod in action green, a Seco Safety Vest with LED for night time safety and additional KR prizes.

Both Bryan and Jonathan have showcased their talents and creativity, emphasizing not only the technical aspects of surveying but also the visual storytelling that comes with their work.
